《公寓街景》是由知名导演金·維多 执导的一部劇情片，西爾維娅·西德尼 約翰奎爾倫 等倾情出演，该片讲述了：　　On a hot s ummer   afternoon in New York, E mma Jones gossips with o ther neighbors in her  resident ial building abou t the affair that Mrs. A  nna Maurr ant and the  milkman Ste ve Sankey are havi ng. When the ru  de and u nfriendly Mr. Frank M aurrant arr ives, the y change the subject. Meanwhile, t heir teenage  daughter Rose Maurrant is being sexually pressured by her  married boss Mr. B ert Easter. She does however very much like her kind you ng Jewish neighbor Sam, who has a  ser ious crus h on her.　　The next morni ng, Frank Maurrant  tells his wife that he  is trav eling  to Stamfor d on business . Mrs  . Maurrant meets t  he gentle S ankey in her apartment,  but out  of the blue Fra nk com es back home.  He realiz es his wi fe is upstairs with Sankey, and runs ups tairs. We  hear shots and  see the t wo men stru  ggling as S  ankey tries  to escape through the wi ndow. Maurrant runs out with a gu n. He has killed S ankey and fa tally wounded hi   s wife.　　Maurrant is apprehend ed and is led away by police. He apologizes to his dau ghter R ose,  who  will now hav e to take care of herself and her young brother without either parent. Rose's boss offers once again to set  her u p in her own apa rtment, but  she refuses. Then sh  e sees Sam, and tel ls him she wants to leave the city. S am plead s with her to let him go with her, but  she tells him it will be better for the two o f th em to  have a couple of years apart before  they consider b ecoming a co uple.
