We are delighted that the show will remain a li nchpin of the CBS schedule this coming seaso n.” In its current season, “NCI S” has been averaging 12.2 million viewers in the live + sam e day ratings, makin g it TV’s se cond-most-watched scripted series, behind o nly “Th e Big Bang Theory.” It has rema ined a strong perfor mer for CBS, in both its ratings a nd viewership numbers, and was widely con sidered to be a stro ng renewal contender leadi ng up to the announcement today.
