惡魔之夜, 《惡魔之夜》是由知名导演雅克·特納 执导的一部恐怖片，達納·安德魯斯 佩吉·卡明斯 尼爾·麥吉尼斯 莫瑞 等倾情出演，该片讲述了：　　American psycholo gist John Holden arrives in Lo ndon to p articipate in a s ymposium a iming to expose witc hcraft a nd devil-worship as  a f raud , with attention centered on a cult run by a Julian Karswell. Debarking h  is plane, Holden learns that the symposium leader, Henry Harrington, has  suddenly died and he is now in charg e. W hat only the  audience knows is that Harrington was  clearly killed  by a demon, apparently sum moned by Karswel l to avenge his persecution. Despite both threa tening and  cajoling behavior by Karswell, Holden  determines to proceed, though th e only cult memb er w illing to tal k about his experiences is in a prison psych iatric ward, catat onic after all egedly killing yet another cult me mber. However, Harrington 's niece, Joanna, b elieves, based on her uncle's no tes, that Karswell may indeed have some sat anic powers derived fr  om an ancient to me in a n obscure language which he has been able to translate, and attemp ts to warn t he skeptic H   olden . Karswe ll's mot  her also   attempts  to warn Hold en off. Howe ver, the thing  which begins to most  get to H olde n are t he occ asional, but mounting, se nsory and m ental disturbances he begins experiencing after an encounter with Karsw ell,  and the  discovery that, du ring this encounter, Karswell secretly slipped a slip of parchment with a curse in runic symbols on it  into Holde  n's belongings, a parchment identical to one Harring ton recorded having ha d passed to him in a simi lar m anner shor tly before his dea th...
