The events are set between 2160 and 2025 BC. When the peasant Khun-anup and hi s donkey stumble upon the lands of the noble Rensi, the pea sant’s goods are con fiscated and he’s unjust ly accused of theft. The peasant petitio ns Rensi who is so take n by the peas ant’s eloque nce that he repo rt his astonishing discov ery to th e king. The k ing realise s the peasant has been wronged but delays judge ment so a s to he can hear more o f his eloquence.
