B eating   one 's  wife se ems to be  ingrained in   many men9;s mi ndsets as the approp  riate behaviour for  a strong m ale, but the conseq uences are misery for the wife   and children, and o ften a broken, unhappy home. The conce pt of domes tic violence i s based on the notio n of p  atriarchy, which n eeds t  o be converted into equality.　　Ep08:Toxi  c Food  - Poison On Our Plate?　　For decades our f ood and wate r have bee n cont  aminate  d by pow erful, harmful pes   ticides which have  been p romoted as ne cessary for better agricultural outpu t. But the reality   is that w e don't need pesticides for better   yie ld, a nd their us e is no t only deadl  y for healt  h but results in expen sive farming methods. The solution i s to adopt  organic f arming , wh ich is possible and profitable, a s the st ate of Sikkim has shown.　　Ep09 :Alcohol  Abuse - Think Before You Drink　　Alcohol co nsumption is  associated with having fun and enjoy  ing life.  But excessive, irrespo nsible drinking t akes away that very life itself. Ma  ny alcoho l addicts have climbed back to normal life, proving t  hat it is possible to live ha ppily without alcoho l. Help for a lcoholics is  availab le, free, at Alcoholi cs An onymous.　　Ep10:Untouchabili ty - Dignity for All　　For a count ry which has been ind ependent for 65 years, it is  a ma tter of shame t hat we have   not y et sh aken off the ty ranny of caste-based dis crimination. Countless peop le have to live in degrading conditi ons, children are unable to go to school,  employment avenues ar e clo  sed, and even education do es not  open bigoted minds.　　Ep11: Old Age -- Su nset Years,  Sunshine Life　　Ou r parents ar e the ones who have  brou ght us up an d made u s what we ar e. At least out o  f co nsideration for that   much, we sh ould be good and kind towards them. But countles s people all over India don';t think so , going by t he numb ers o f abandone d old peopl e taken in at old age  homes.
