Beating one's wife s eems  to be ingrained in many men&# 39;s mindsets as the appropriate behaviour f or a strong male, but the conse quences are misery for  the wife an d ch ildren, and often a broken,   unhappy ho  me. The conc ept of domestic violence is base d on the  notion of patriarchy, wh ich needs to be converte d into equality.　　Ep  08:Toxic  Food - Poison On O ur Plate?　　For decad es our foo  d and water have  been c ontamina ted by po  werful, har mful p esticides  which have been promoted as neces sary for better agricultural output. But the  reality  is t hat we don 't  need pes ticides for better yi eld, and their use is not o nly deadly  for health bu t resu lts in e xpensive far ming methods  . The solu  tion is to adopt org anic far ming, which is possible and profitable, as  the state of Sikkim has shown.　 　Ep09:Alcohol Abuse - Think Before You Drink　　Alcoh ol consumption is  associated  with h aving fun and en joying life.  But excessive, irresponsi ble drin king takes away that ver y life itself. Many a lcohol addicts have climbed back to  normal life, proving that it is possible   to live hap pily  without alc ohol. Help f or alcoholics is  available, free, at Alco holic s Anonymous.　　Ep10:Untouchability - Dignity for All　　For a  country which has been independent  for 65 years,  it is a matter o f shame that we have not y et s  haken off the tyra nny  of caste-based discrimination. Countless  people have  to live i  n degrading conditions, children ar e unable to  go to schoo l, em ployment a venues  are closed, an d even education does not open big oted minds.　　Ep11:Old Age   -- Sunset Ye ars, Su nshine L ife　　Our p  arents are the ones who  have brought us up and made  us w hat we  are . At leas t out  of consideration  for that much,  we should be good and kind t owards them. But  countless p eople all over Ind  ia don't think so, going by t he numbers  of abandoned old people t aken in at old age homes.
