Beating one's wife seems  to be ingrained  in many men's m indsets a s th e appropriate behaviour for a  strong male  , but  the consequences are misery for the wife a nd children, and often  a broken , unhappy home. T  he concept of domesti c violence is based on the notion of patriarchy, which  needs to be converted into equality.　　Ep08:Toxic Fo od - Po ison On Our Plate?　　For decades our fo od and w  ater have been c ontaminated by powerfu l, harmful pestic ides which  have been p romoted as  necessa  ry for b etter agricultur al output. But the reality is that we don't need pesticides  for bett er yield, and t  heir use  is not only deadly for heal th but results in expe nsive farm  ing me  thods. The soluti  on is to adopt orga nic farming, which i s possible a nd profita ble, as the state o f Sikkim ha s sh own.　　Ep09:Alcohol Abuse - Thin k Before You Drin k　　Al cohol co nsumption is associated with ha ving fun and enjoyi ng life. But excessive , irrespon sible dr inking ta kes away th at v ery life itself. Many alcohol addicts have climbed bac k to norma l life, proving that  it is possible to liv  e happily wi thout alcohol. Help for a lcoholics is avail able, free , at Alcoholics Anonymous.　　Ep10:Untouchab ility  - Dign  ity for All　　For a c ountry wh ich has  been independ ent for 65 years, it  is a ma tter of sh  ame that we have not yet shaken off the  tyranny of  caste-based disc rimination. Coun tless peo ple ha ve to li ve in degrad  ing condit ions, childr en ar e unable to go to s chool, employment aven ues are closed, and ev en education  doe s not o pen bigot ed minds. 　　Ep11: Old Age -- Sunset Years, Suns hine Life　　Our parents are t he ones  who have   brought  us up and made us wh at we are. At least ou t of c  onsideration for that  much,  we s hould be good and kind towards them. But countle ss people a ll over India don 't think so, going by the n umbers of abandon ed old peo  ple ta ken in at   old age homes.
